Should 30 law schools close?

Interesting take on why law schools exist.
My dad forwarded this essay to me this morning. I'm not sure that I agree wholeheartedly, because the essay disregards how much one can learn from a truly great lawyer. (Just ask my hubby how much he learned from Chuck Kettlewell; or ask me how much I learned from Hank Hudspeth or some of the lawyers at MoFo.)
One can have bad professors or good ones; one can learn from bad lawyers or good ones. The point is that law can be a powerful tool, and it's good to learn about the uses of that power from people who use that power wisely.

Business boot camp? Good advice for all law students.
Check out this story in the NYT. If you can't read a balance sheet, get some additional coaching, either from your law school or from a business school. It'll be worth your time.
